Homemade Pizza Sauce

Ingredients

  • 170 grams of tomato paste
  • 425 grams tomato sauce
  • 1 ½  tbsp dried oregano
  • 2 tbsp italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic salt
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp sugar

Method

  1. In a medium bowl, mix tomato paste and tomato sauce together until smooth
  2. Add dried oregano, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, garlic salt, ground black pepper and sugar. Stir until evenly distributed throughout the sauce
  3. Taste and adjust seasonings to your liking
  4. Tear and lay a sheet of Multix Greener Compostable Brown Baking Paper on your bench. Stretch or roll your pizza base directly on the paper, it’ll transfer straight onto the tray or pizza stone. Spoon sauce over the base and spread to the edges with the back of a spoon. Top pizza with toppings of your liking.
  5. Transfer any leftover sauce to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 5 days. To freeze, portion into zip-lock bags and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge before using.
