Alfoil Pouches
Multix Alfoil pouches are ideal for single people and busy families.
In most cases they can be prepared ahead and frozen. Simply remove the prepared pouch from the fridge or freezer and pop in the oven.
You can have a whole week’s meals prepared and ready to go!
How to make a Foil Pouch and Foil Wrapping
1. Tear off a large enough piece of Alfoil to allow for twice the volume
of ingredients in your recipe (you need room inside your pouch for
the steam to circulate).
2. Bring up the 2 opposite sides of the Alfoil to the centre (leaving
plenty of airspace for the steam) and fold over 2 or 3 times to
ensure an airtight seal.
3. To complete the seal, fold each of the remaining ends in 2 or 3 times.
4. To serve, simply place the Alfoil pouch onto the plate and carefully open the top seam.
BBQ Kebabs
When making Kebabs or satays for the BBQ and you’ve forgotten to soak the skewers beforehand, don’t worry - just wrap the exposed ends in strips of Multix Alfoil!
Fresher BBQ Salads
To keep your salads crisp and fresh for the life of the BBQ, cover your salad inside and out with Multix Alfoil. At serving time, simply remove the top cover.
The Alfoil covered bowl will ensure that your salad stays fresh and crisp.
Keep your BBQ clean
Covering the grill or BBQ plate with Multix Alfoil makes cleaning up easier, and don’t forget that Multix Alfoil scrunched up into a ball makes a great scourer for cleaning up afterward!
To make a waterproof parcel or pouch
For a waterproof seal, lay food lengthways on a sheet of Multix Alfoil, bring the edges together and make a triple fold.
Twist the open ends in opposite directions.
This will tighten the foil seam and prevent it from loosening during the cooking process.
Use the waterproof pouch for poaching foods in a pot of boiling water.
Contour wrapping
Contour wrapping is used for wrapping foods for storage, freezing or carrying. It should also be used for cooking tender foods such as fish fillets and vegetables which require a short cooking time. As air is excluded from the pouch, use this method when you require a baked effect.
Tear off a sheet of Multix Alfoil, place food in the centre and bring the edges of the sheet together at the top. Make a double or triple seal and mould the foil against the contents while the ends are still open so that the air is forced out. Seal the ends with a triple fold.
